Introduction
When talking about global education, John points out that, "The curricula based on this approach are grounded in
traditional academic disciplines but are taught in the
context of project-and problem-based inquiries." So in this
project, I will choose the topic "energy resources" to
develop into a global learning project.
In this project,I am going to introduce all the forms of energy, for example, nuclear energy, wind energy, solar energy, and the most common energy, the fossil energy. I want students to study the release of the CO2 when we use energy. Then I will design a classroom
activity to discuss global warming issues.
As we know, CO2 is a major factor in global warming.
How can we reduce the release of CO2? Are we willing to
reduce CO2? What is the relationship between energy
consumption and economic growth? Why can't we reach a consensus about how to reduce the CO2 gases?
In the 3 days' process of discussion, I hope students not only understand the energy resources in physics,
they also should know the relationship between energy resources and global warming. They should see this
problem from other countries' perspective.
